Map Illustration for a Book by Werner Jessner
I was contacted by wir sind artisten to illustrate a page for an ambitious book on the last 40 years of motorcycle races in the context of the Dakar Rally. Edited in 2020 by Pantauro
The challenge was, not only to find a style that could fit well with the rest of the book, but to be really accurate with the map and routes so it could be used as a reference material.
The final illustration for the two full page spreads.
Including the most important routes of the last 40 years.
